  • Code of Conduct: Players

    At the Eaglehawk Junior Football Club we work to ensure that Junior footy is a fun environment for our players, supporters & officials and we believe in the following values:

    RESPECT - for our teammates, other teams' players, coaches, managers, trainers, umpires and equipment.
    IMPROVEMENT - of our skills and to play footy to the best of our ability.
    FUN - we want to enjoy our footy, this means having fun ourselves and helping other to have fun.

    Any serious breach of these codes will result in action through the BJFL as well as the EJFC Committee holding disciplinary hearing to determine if sanctions are to be imposed. Your registration with our club assumes your acceptance of these codes and your agreement to indemnify the Club against any penalty caused directly by your failure to observe these codes, be it financial or otherwise.

    Smoking of cigarettes or vapes is not permitted at games or training, and it is law that you do not smoke within a 10 metre radius of the sporting area, including from the boundary line.

    The EJFC request that only: players, officials and coaching staff enter the change rooms.

    All reports of breach of conduct are to be addressed via Coach/Team Manager, who will then forward these to our Executive Committee.

    EJFC Players Code of Behaviour:

    1. Abide and play by the rules of the game and the rules set down by the Bendigo Junior Football League, your Club and Coach.

    2. Never argue with an Official, do not question the Officials and Umpires judgement and never question their honesty.

    3. Control your temper. Verbal abuse of Officials or other Players, deliberately distracting an opponent is not accepted or permitted in any other sport.

    4. Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your Team's performance will benefit and so will you.

    5. Treat all Players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player. Always conduct yourself in a manner that is expected of your Team mates, Club and Family.

    6. Co-operate with your Coach and Team mates, and respect the ability of your opponent. Without them there would be no game.

    7. Players must not abuse, assault or attempt to assault an umpire, another Player, Officials or Spectators.

    8. Be proud to walk off the ground after each game knowing that you have given your best effort and never involve yourself in an argument with opposing Players, Umpires or Officials.

    9. EJFC highly encourages the wearing of club merchandise outside of the club, however please be sure to uphold our codes of behaviour whilst representing our club.

    10. Wearing of academy gear whilst at training is HIGHLY discouraged; training tops are available via club rooms.

    PARENTS:

    Do you agree to:

    1. Be informed of volunteer duties you may be able to assist with.

    2. Agree to uphold the codes of conduct relevant to players, parents, and spectators (see below link)

    3. In the event of an injury or illness, I authorise any official from EFNC in charge of the BJFL competition to obtain on my child's behalf and at my expense any medical assistance, treatment and transportation as deemed necessary.
